Inplanta Innovations Inc. searches functional genes in various plants even which genomic sequences are unknown. The searches are done by "comprehensive gene functional analysis plants system using the full length cDNA" developed by RIKEN GSC plant functional team.
Full-length cDNA of the target plants are set in the Arabidopsis and are over-expressed. The transformed Arabidopsis are screened according to the criteria customers made and then the inserted genes are taken from the individuals. This is the genomic-wide gene hunting system.
